Wednesday January 18, 2006

Ranger 4 Introduction Will Impact Our Revenue Immensely for 2006 and Beyond

Hathaway Corporation is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, OptiCon Systems, Inc. will be releasing "Ranger 4," the fourth version of the Opticon Network Manager sometime in the fourth quarter of 2006 . The Ranger 4 will include all of the current software's features and functions in a more flexible, scalable, efficient and user-friendly manner with state-of-the-art technology. The completion of Beta testing is scheduled for the third quarter of 2006.

The Ranger 4 software has a compilation of new capabilities such as integration with existing systems through multiple interface platforms, supporting foreign languages, managing inventory as well as creating and managing work orders. In addition, there are numerous other modifications that further the efficiency and increase the value of the software.

The new version of OptiCon's Network Manager will increase their customers' return on investment (ROI) by reducing the manual engineering need to design and provide network connections, and expand fault management analytics. The new software release will also be able to standardize spatial databases such as Oracle, AutoCad, MapInfo, ESRI, and MapPoint. Customers will also be able to manage the interconnection of all types of cables such as copper, coaxial, and fiber and the software is scalable from the smallest network operators to large multimedia and telecommunication providers such as SPC, Bell South, Time Warner, etc.

"We are very excited about the advancement of our software. The Ranger 4 will greatly increase efficiency of operations for our clients and our overall corporate revenue for years to come. It's our objective to continue to deliver the best solution in the market," stated John Batton, President of OptiCon Systems, Inc.
